Sunny day in Brighton with my mate Maans before he heads back to sweden for the summer.
I have a friend at work who told me that she has no distinct memories of extreme heat as a child. I found it hard to believe at first, but when spring serves up days like this it makes sense.
Spent today in Glasgow with work peeps at the Scotland heat of the World Barista Champs in Glasgow. The copious amounts of free coffee and chat about how we could do it better (what dicks…) was followed up by a lip smackin’ burger and good beer at Lucky 7’s.
Culross, Scotland - February 2012
Arthur’s Seat, Edinburgh 31/1/12.
It hasn’t really snowed that much at all this winter in the UK, but the few experiences I have had I will never forget. It was child like excitement for sure. The first time it snowed I was lying in bed and once I decided that it wasn’t enormous rain drop’s falling really softly, I actually choked on excitement. I got ready for work early and walked around touching and poking the snow on different surfaces. Being the first time I had ever seen snow I couldn’t help but walk around with a massive grin on my face. The horror I experienced when I started to melt by lunch time is another story completely.
Rose Street, Edinburgh. It reminds me of Diagon Ally in the Potter books, however I’m told that old mate J. K Rowling based it on a Lane in Glasgow.
